Phrembah (a potato-like mystery)
. . . I was hired to be his chaperone and guardian and keep him out of trouble. It is my job to be the 'adult in the room,' as it were. The problem is that he has a tendency to suck all of the adult out of any room that he's in. Too often I have to resort to reminding him that he can move around freely and do what he wants within reason because I am here. If I quit, his grandmother will drag him back to Colorado and put his ass in public school where it belongs and that will be the end of rock 'n' roll stardom. If she ever lets him out again, it will be under much tighter restrictions. As naive as he pretends to be, he understands everything, usually in much more detail and nuance than the 'adults' in the room. A very subtle reminder is usually enough to get him back in line."
