Everybody thinks he has brown eyes . . .

. . . because, from across a room, his eyes are dark.  Not as dark as Mouse's; Mouse's irises are as black as his pupils.  Not that dark, but dark, and everyone assumes brown, but if you look really close, probably uncomfortably close if you're not a friend or relative, his eyes are actually green---dark green.  Like hunter green or British racing green or Army dress uniform green or something.  Dark green like an ivy leaf or a pine bough, maybe.  Most green-eyed people's eyes are like olive-green at the greenest.  No, his are green green.  The only other person I know with eyes that color is his sister who has the same eyes.  She has the same face, if you want to know the truth.  Luckily, it's a youngish-looking, attractive face that neither a man nor a woman would be unhappy to have.
