|The Witch . . .

Phrembah (a potato-like mystery)
. . . is a highly rated, critically acclaimed horror flick that I thought I should see for the artistic content, etc., etc. What I discovered is that I HATE HORROR FLICKS !, artistic content be damned. The cinematography in The Witch is excellent, and really, to be honest, so is the rest of the craft in the movie. Like I've said before: excellent movie, crappy genre. The Witch, like all other horror films, has to move very, very slowly, presumably to build suspense. I much prefer stories that move almost too fast to follow, as opposed to an ass-dragging trudge.
If you're into horror flicks you might like this. I, personally, need to remember: No more horror flicks.
